Some nice news from this year’s Chessiecon! The Spectrum Awards for 2014/2015 (for books published in 2013 and 2014) were announced there: Death By Silver won for 2013 and Fairs’ Point for 2014. Fairs’ Point is turned in to Lethe Press (at long last - the fault is all mine), so I thought I’d celebrate by posting a short excerpt.  The book itself should be out in the first half of next year, and already has a lovely cover from Ben Baldwin, who did the covers for the rest of the Lethe editions. Murder, theft, and racing terriers!
